Product Introduction

The water soluble zinc fertilizer is a key tool for efficient zinc supplementation in modern precision agriculture. With its complete solubility, fast absorption, flexibility and efficiency, it offers significant advantages in quickly correcting symptoms of zinc deficiency, preventing potential zinc deficiencies and improving zinc utilization efficiency. The choice between zinc sulfate or zinc chelate requires a combination of soil conditions (especially pH), application method, crop needs and cost budget. Strict control of concentration and dosage is the key to the safe and effective use of water-soluble zinc fertilizers.

Product Features & Applications

1. Rapid correction of zinc deficiency symptoms: When plants show typical symptoms of zinc deficiency (e.g., small leaves, shortened internodes in the form of "clusters" or "rosettes", greenish yellowing or whitening of new leaves between the veins, "white seedling disease" of corn, "leaflet disease" of fruit trees, etc.), it can quickly alleviate the symptoms after application. ", fruit tree "leaflet disease", etc.), after application can quickly relieve the symptoms.

2. Prevention of potential zinc deficiencies: Preventive application as a basal or follow-up fertilizer on soils known to be prone to zinc deficiency, such as sandy soils, calcareous soils, high-phosphorus soils, soils with very high organic matter content, or on zinc-sensitive crops.

3. Improved zinc uptake efficiency: Water-soluble zinc fertilizers are much more bioavailable than soil-applied insoluble zinc fertilizers, greatly reducing waste.

Main types

Zinc sulfate heptahydrate: The most common and economical water-soluble zinc fertilizer, containing about 23% zinc and also sulfur. It has good solubility and is the most widely used variety. However, its effectiveness is reduced in high pH soils.

Zinc sulfate monohydrate: Higher zinc content (about 35%), good solubility and relatively low transportation costs.

Organic zinc chelate:

Core benefit: Chelating agents act as a "shield" around the zinc ion, keeping it soluble and stable in the soil solution, significantly increasing the effectiveness of zinc in the soil, especially in soils with high pH (calcareous soils), high phosphorus, high calcium carbonate or high organic matter. These soil conditions tend to lead to immobilization and failure of ordinary zinc salts, whereas chelated zinc resists immobilization and ensures zinc uptake by plants.

Characteristics: The price is usually higher than zinc sulfate, but the absorption and utilization rate is higher, the effect is more stable and reliable, especially suitable for zinc-deficient soils and crops. Foliar sprays are also very efficient.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Why is it necessary to strictly control the concentration when using water soluble zinc fertilizer?

A: Zinc is a micronutrient with a very low plant requirement. Excessive concentration can be harmful! Be sure to follow the product specifications or the recommended concentration by the agricultural technician, and do not increase the dosage arbitrarily. Common foliar spray concentrations are usually between 0.1% - 0.3%

Q: Can water soluble zinc fertilizer be mixed with all pesticides or other fertilizers?

A: No, it cannot! Compatibility must be noted before mixing:
Zinc Sulfate: Avoid mixing with strong alkalis (which can produce precipitation and clog spray nozzles as well as reduce the effectiveness of zinc and pesticides/fertilizers. Caution is also needed when mixing with phosphate fertilizers (e.g. potassium phosphate), which may produce precipitation.
Zinc chelate: Compatibility is usually better than zinc sulfate, but not absolutely. In particular, EDTA chelated zinc may be unstable under strong acid conditions.
When planning a mix, always conduct a small-scale compatibility test first! Take a small amount of the fertilizers and pesticides you plan to mix, mix them proportionally in a transparent container, and observe whether there is any precipitation, flocculation, heating or discoloration. If there is any abnormality, prohibit mixing.
