When fertilizing with drip irrigation, drip water first, and start fertilizing after the pipe is filled with water. Immediately after the end of fertilization, drip water for 20~30 minutes, and discharge all the residual fertilizer in the pipeline (you can use a conductivity meter to monitor whether it is completely discharged). If the tube is not washed, lower plants or microorganisms such as moss and algae may grow at the dripper and clog the dripper.
Long-term fertilization with drip irrigation in greenhouses or greenhouses will cause surface salt accumulation and affect root growth. Drip irrigation under the film can be used to inhibit the migration of salt to the surface.
Pay attention to the uniformity of fertilization, drip fertilization, in principle, the slower the fertilization, the better. Especially for elements that are poorly mobile in the soil (such as phosphorus), prolonging the fertilization time can greatly improve the utilization of difficult-to-move nutrients. Drip fertilization in the dry season, it is recommended that the fertilization time be completed in 2-3 hours. In the case that the soil is not short of water, the faster the better, on the premise of ensuring uniformity.
Avoid over-irrigation to keep the root depth moist, the root depth varies greatly depending on the crop, you can use a shovel to dig up the soil at any time to know the specific depth of the root layer. Excessive irrigation not only wastes water, but also seriously leaches nutrients below the root layer, wasting fertilizer and reducing crop yields. In particular, urea and nitrate nitrogen fertilizers (such as potassium nitrate, calcium ammonium nitrate, nitrophosphate fertilizers and water-soluble fertilizers containing nitrate) are easily lost with water.
Irrigation water quality understands the hardness and pH of irrigation water, so as to avoid precipitation and reduce fertilizer efficiency. Especially in saline soil areas, calcium phosphate precipitation is very common and is one of the reasons for clogging the dripper. At the same time, phosphate precipitation is also an important reason for reducing the effect of phosphate fertilizer.
Combined with other fertilizers, usually water-soluble fertilizers are only used as top dressing. When recommending fertilization, basal fertilizer should be combined with top dressing, organic fertilizer should be combined with inorganic fertilizer, and water-soluble fertilizer should be combined with conventional fertilizer. Do not emphasize that water-soluble fertilizers replace other fertilizers, but should be used together to reduce costs and give full play to the advantages of various fertilizers.
